Accommodation
Can I purchase a single (private) tent?
Can I purchase a single (private) tent?
No, we are not selling single tents for any camping trips. All Travelers will have a shared, double occupancy tent unless there are an uneven number of Travelers.
If there is an uneven number, then a single tent will be assigned to a Traveler who will be selected at random. Hosts will have a private tent if originally requested.
Can I bring my own tent?
Can I bring my own tent?
No, the campsites we use have a maximum number of tents allowed per campsite, and for this reason we are unable to accommodate additional tents.
Does my campground have showers?
Does my campground have showers?
While we often use the same campgrounds for these itineraries, please ensure you are checking your finalized Itinerary for the campground your group will be camping at. If it is not listed below, please reach out to us.
At the Madison Campground, there is no access to showers. The group can plan to stop at some pay showers on one of your days in the park, if the group requests this with the Guide.
At the KOA, there is access to showers.
Will there be a place to store and lock up gear/additional items while I am out and about during the day?
Will there be a place to store and lock up gear/additional items while I am out and about during the day?
Yes! Your Guide will leave a locked trailer behind at the campsite, which works well for storing valuables. That said, we'd recommend you keep that which is more important and irreplaceable to you on your person.
Will the campground have some sort of power hookup?
Will the campground have some sort of power hookup?

There are no power sources at the campsites, however at the Madison Campground, Travelers can charge batteries in the bathroom. At the KOA, Travelers can charge batteries in the bathroom/laundry room/snack bar.
We would recommend bringing a battery pack to help keep your tech equipment charged!
Transportation
Can I drive myself and park at the campsite?
Can I drive myself and park at the campsite?
We highly discourage Travelers from driving to the campsite, but may be able to accommodate (1) per trip based on special requests and Operator approval. If more than (1) Traveler is requesting to drive, we may need to deny all requests to be fair to all Travelers.
We encourage you to park your vehicle at the airport or other nearby location and meet your group on Day 1 for the group transfer to the campsite.
Due to campsite regulations, there is a limited number of vehicles allowed per campsite. Also, the group enters and visits parks prior to setting up camp, meaning you would need to pay your own entrance fees since you aren’t in the same vehicle as the group. Cell service is also non-existence in many of the parks that the groups visit, so it would be near impossible for you to connect with the guide to coordinate where to meet if you happen to get separated on the drive to and within the park.
Is there a separate location where I can park my car other than the airport?
Is there a separate location where I can park my car other than the airport?
You can park at any parking facility you choose so long as you meet the group at the airport on time.
Are arrival airport transfers flexible on timing?
Are arrival airport transfers flexible on timing?
No, they are not. All of these trips are camping trips, so the group will transfer from the airport to the first campsite, typically a long driving distance. It’s important you book within flight guidelines to ensure there’s enough time for all activities on the itinerary for Day 1. No exceptions can be made here.
If you miss the included transfer, you'll be responsible for getting yourself to the campsite.
Please double check your Trip Page for specific flight guidelines for each trip.
Are departure airport transfers flexible on timing?
Are departure airport transfers flexible on timing?
No, they are not. Due to driving distance from the last location to the airport, travelers will need to book their departure flights within the flight guidelines to join the group departure airport transfer. Otherwise, they will need to arrange their own transportation to get back to the airport for their departure. No exceptions can be made here.
If travelers have booked early departure flights, please encourage them to book a later flight to meet flight guidelines.
Please double check your Trip Page for specific flight guidelines for each trip.
