Ho'okena Beach Park Campground offers a variety of amenities to enhance your camping experience:
Restrooms: Public restroom facilities with running water are available.
Showers: Multiple freshwater outdoor showers are provided near the beach and restrooms. Please note while these showers are not heated, some visitors have noted that the water can feel warm, especially after being heated by the sun during the day.
Picnic Tables: Each campsite includes a picnic table, with additional tables scattered throughout the park for public use.
Fire Pits and Grills: Circular concrete fire pits and charcoal grilling stations are available in the camping area. Open fires are not permitted; campers should bring their firewood.
Concession Stand: Open from 9 am to 2 pm, the concession stand sells ice, food, water, snacks, and rents ocean gear such as kayaks and snorkels.
Dishwashing Sinks: Large sinks for dishwashing are available in the bathroom building.
Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi access is available for purchase, with options including $3.00 for 2 hours on one device and $10.00 for 24 hours on two devices.
Accessibility: The park is ADA accessible, ensuring facilities are accommodating for all visitors.
Parking: Free day-use parking is available, with fees applicable for camping permits.

Arnott's Lodge & Campground provides covered outdoor hot water showers and toilets for campers.
Additionally, guests have access to free Wi-Fi, parking spaces, a small outdoor cooking area, and coin-operated laundry facilities

The guide typically stops at Target or Walmart, where participants can purchase any items they may need, such as snorkel gear, sunscreen, beach towels, sun hats, and other essentials.

Purchasing a snorkel typically costs around $20–$30, while daily rentals usually range from $12 to $15 per day.

Tips for Guides, drivers, and restaurant staff are not included in your trip costs. While tipping is not mandatory, it is a meaningful way to show appreciation and provides supplemental income for local teams. If they have enhanced your experience, consider rewarding their efforts with a tip. Below are tipping suggestions:
For Guides, it is recommended to tip $5-20 USD per person/day
For Drivers, it is recommended to tip $3-4 USD per person/day
For Restaurants, it is recommended to top 15-20% of the total bill

What is public transportation like?
Public transportation is pretty minimal. The only option for public transportation is the bus - there are no trains, trams or subways. Uber and Lyft are both operational, though!
