Mini Trips: Shorter, More Affordable Vacations

Offer shorter trips to your busy community at a more accessible price range

Updated over 4 months ago

What’s a Mini Trip?

Bite-sized versions of tried and true Trova Trips — each itinerary is a 4-day, 3-night itinerary that can be sold as a “getaway” or quick trip. Hosts can now use Mini Trips to offer shorter vacations to busy community members at a more accessible price range.

Who are Minis a fit for?

The better question might be, who aren't Minis a good fit for? In all seriousness, we've been hearing GREAT things about the possibilities Mini Trips have opened up from both Hosts and Travelers.

As Creators, community leaders, and business owners, it's no surprise that Hosts have jam-packed schedules. They love that Minis are a breeze to plan (and only need to be planned 3-5 months in advance, compared to 10-12 for our full length itineraries). Not to mention, these getaways are easier to set time aside for than a 7-9 day trip.

The cherry on top? The shorter duration and more accessible price point tends to make them easier to sell to Travelers.

When it comes to Travelers, Mini Trips are a great fit for everyone from parents who can only travel for a limited time due to childcare or pet care, to workers who have limited PTO to work with.

Beyond the scheduling flexibility these shorter trips offer, the lower price point means a long weekend getaway is now in the budget for community members who might not have been able to swing a full-length trip.

FAQ

Where can I go on a Mini Trip? Explore dreamy destinations including Mexico, Ireland, and Colombia. Please note: Mini itineraries are subject to change, and we’re always adding more!

Why will my community like Mini Trips? A shorter trip makes it easier for folks who may not have flexible PTO, who need to secure pet or child caretakers, or who work with limiting schedules. Plus, a shorter trip is less expensive! This means Hosts can now offer a more accessible trip to their community who may not be able to swing the price tag for a week+ trip. Not to mention, with shorter trips, days tend to be more filled out with more activities and meals included. More 'bang for your buck', so to speak.

How far in advance should I plan a Mini Trip? Mini trips make it easy to add another trip to your calendar, and are a perfect fit for a quick getaway. Since they are shorter, you can plan them just 3-5 months in advance.
