Host Earnings Advancement
Updated over a week ago

As a Host, you can opt for an Earnings Advance for your trip, which is an advancement sent to you to cover your flight expenses based on your preferences. Hosts can request an amount up to the maximum they are earning at the minimum number of spots sold, typically 8-12 spots. This earnings cap is dependent on new or returning Hosts:

  • New Hosts can request up to $1000

  • Renewal Hosts can request up to $2500

You can set your advancement amount in the Pricing tab of your trip page in the Portal.

We updated our policy to ensure Hosts receive their earnings for cancellations occurring after the booking deadline when the Traveler has paid in full. Previously, Hosts did not receive earnings for canceled Travelers, which was seen as unfair. The new policy and product update now reflect this change, ensuring accurate Host Earnings.

Once you confirm your trip and submit your W-9, we'll issue your Earnings Advance via our payment partner, Veem. It's essential to note that the advancement comes out of your earnings, but you can adjust the trip price to cover both your flight and projected earnings. Once you confirm your trip and submit your W-9, we'll issue your Earnings Advance typically around 90 days before the trip starts.

If a Host cancels a trip and has received an earnings advancement, they are required to pay this back in full. Trova will invoice a return of that money via Veem, as well.
