Confirming Your Trip
Updated over 4 months ago

All the surveys, the planning, the promotion, and everything else have led up to this: Confirming! Once your trip reaches the minimum number of booked spots, it transitions to Confirmed, indicating that your trip is officially happening. Keep the momentum going by continuing to promote to ensure you have enough travelers to maximize revenue and minimize cancellations.

Most trips are confirmed within 1-3 weeks of launching. However, a lot of trips will be confirmed on launch day!

What's Next?

Honestly, it's more of the same! Keep promoting your trip to increase your bookings, and keep your community excited and engaged. As the start date approaches, there will be more preparation to do. Until then, here are a few things to remember:

  • Reviewing and approving/denying travelers in the portal. Once you've approved the minimum number of travelers needed, your trip is considered confirmed.

  • Travelers can book up to 50 days before the trip starts, but those booking past 90 days must pay in full upfront (unless using Affirm for installment payments).

  • Sell out your trip and fill out the waitlist. If your trip sells out, travelers can join the waitlist and await a spot opening due to cancellation.

  • After a traveler's spot is confirmed, their 25% down payment becomes non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 90 days before the trip can receive a trip credit minus a $100 cancellation fee. Cancelled spots result in a trip credit for the down payment minus a $100 cancellation fee, rather than a refund.

Most importantly, if you have not already been in contact with a Trova teammate, here is where you will meet your assigned Account Manager! Once a trip is confirmed, every one of our Hosts is assigned a contact at Trova to help prepare for their trip.
