One key aspect of this role is setting clear expectations for your Travelers, ensuring they have a smooth and enjoyable journey from start to finish. A great moment for this is during your Welcome Dinner. This is an ideal time to set a positive and informed atmosphere for your upcoming trip.

Start setting expectations well before the trip begins by communicating with travelers through the TrovaTrip platform or group chat. However, the Welcome Dinner is a great way to do this in person at the beginning of your trip!

Provide detailed information about the trip itinerary, including activities, accommodations, and any important deadlines or requirements. Encourage travelers to ask questions and address any concerns they may have before the trip starts to avoid misunderstandings later on.

Share accurate information about workshops, informal gatherings, and included activities to give travelers a clear picture of what to expect. Highlight any potential challenges or limitations, such as physical exertion levels, cultural differences, or local customs, so Travelers can prepare accordingly. You can also rely on your Guide to provide a local perspective for this as well. Manage expectations around flexibility and unexpected changes, emphasizing the need for adaptability while traveling.

A lot of our Hosts use a Trova trip as a great way to gather content for their own brand and business, and it's something we highly encourage! However, be sure to set the expectations of the type, level, and appropriate content you wish to capture with your group. Respect boundaries and encourage your Travelers to do the same with posting any content publicly.
