What’s it like to host a Trova Trip?

In a word: awesome. But don’t just take our word for it—our Hosts have stories that paint the full picture.

Hosting a Trova Trip is about more than just showing up and traveling through a new destination; it’s about bringing people together, creating life-changing experiences, and inspiring people in your community to step out of their comfort zones and explore the world.

Bringing community together

As a Host, your primary role is to foster a sense of community among your Travelers. You’ll be leading a group of like-minded individuals who are eager to connect, learn, and share in the experience. Whether your trip involves exploring the great outdoors or diving into Japan’s culinary scene, your trip will be aligned with the interests of you and your community. After all, there are over 100 options to choose from in Trova’s professionally designed Itinerary Library!

It’s a group trip, but not entirely a vacation

While hosting a TrovaTrip is a blast, it’s not entirely a vacation for you as the Host—after all, you are getting paid to travel which is pretty freaking cool. As a trip Host, you can think of yourself as the “Bringer of the Vibes” and community leader your Travelers will rally around. You set the vibe, join in for the activities on the itinerary, and engage with your Travelers on a daily basis.

Remember, your Travelers join these trips not just for the destination, but to meet you and other like-minded people in your community. Engaging with your group, participating in activities, and forming connections are all part of the [dream] job. With that in mind, we believe it’s equally as important to take time to replenish your social energy. So do like your therapist says and set those healthy boundaries, tapping out early to rest and recharge when the rest of your group heads out for drinks after dinner.

Oh, and don’t worry—you won’t be doing it alone. A local Guide will be with your group every step of the way, speaking the language, handling the logistics, and herding the wonderful cats who make up your crew. In short, your Guide is trained to handle all details, so you can focus on connecting with your Travelers and enjoying the experience.

Ready to reserve your trip?

If you’re ready to step into the role of a TrovaTrip Host and create unforgettable experiences, now’s the time to reserve your trip, head over to the Itinerary Library and select your dates or survey your community to learn more about what they want in a dream trip!

"This is our first trip hosting with TrovaTrip and we are blown away by how amazing it’s been so far. Feeling safe and comfortable as LGBTQIA+ couples in another country is a priority for us as Hosts, and Costa Rica has been so welcoming and loving to all of us. The itinerary is so good and having an incredible local tour guide + driver for transfers has made everything go sooo smoothly for all of us."

"One year ago, I hosted my first Confidence Retreat in Tulum! I got to meet and connect with 7 amazing babes in our community in real life. As I get closer to the launch of upcoming domestic retreats, I’ve found myself reflecting on how surreal this trip was. The joy, the adventure, the growth, and the self-love. Creating connections beyond our online space to inspire confidence is something I always dreamed of. I can’t wait to keep bringing it to life!"
