How to navigate the Itinerary Library and plan your dream trip

Updated over a week ago

Choosing the itinerary on TrovaTrip is like planning a dream experience for your community, looking through the feature packages and offerings specific to the destination or type of activities. Trova offers a diverse range of expertly curated itineraries, serving as the cornerstone for exceptional group travel experiences. By understanding and effectively leveraging these itineraries, Hosts can craft unforgettable adventures for their communities.

Recommended Itineraries

In your Host Portal, Trova will recommend 2 itineraries that most fit your audience's preferences and correspond with your unlocked itinerary options. The recommendation is based on your connected social media platforms and/or your survey data (destination, time of year, audience age, desired activities, etc.), consumer behavior, and travel trends while also aligning with your availability and preference. These recommended itineraries will be listed at the top of your Home Page in the Portal as well as pinned at the top of the Itineraries Tab under TrovaTrip's Suggestions.

While you're free to choose an alternate itinerary, the 2 recommended itineraries are chosen to give our Hosts the best chance at successfully launching and filling their group trip.

Itinerary Page

On your Host Portal, you will have access to the itineraries that are currently live and offered at each tier level.

  • All Hosts receive access to Tier 1 itineraries. These are the tried and true trips that give your Travelers a great experience at a consistent price.

  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 itineraries are available to select Hosts—not because we don't love y'all equally, but because some itineraries are specialized, more involved, or trickier to sell. We'll work with Hosts to unlock access to these tiers as appropriate.

Not all Hosts qualify for all itineraries. Check out our page on Itinerary Tiers.

When searching through the Itinerary Library, you will be defaulted to the options offered at your current Host Level. Hosts can view higher-tier itineraries, but will not be able to reserve a trip with those. You can search or filter the itineraries in various ways:

  • Using the search bar with keyword search

  • Destinations

  • Categories based on activities or themes

  • Months of the year

  • Reviews by both Host and Travelers

Selecting an Itinerary

Once you have selected an itinerary that has caught your eye, you can click on it to see more details! There is a lot of information on each of these itinerary pages, as these are curated and developed by our expert Trip Design team. Key information to be aware of on each of these pages include:

  • Starting price: This is what the trip will cost for Travelers as a baseline. This number will change based on your earnings -- which will be set up later.

  • Destination: Where the trip is specifically taking place.

  • Categories: Type of activities or themes this itinerary encompasses.

  • Activity Level: Leisure trips will have a lower activity level while hiking/camping/trekking trips will have a higher rating.

  • Available Dates: Times of year that are currently available to reserve.

  • Overview: Short summary of the itinerary details, duration, min/max passengers, accommodation, and meal expectations.

  • Included Activities: These are included in the trip's pricing both for the requested trip and for what your Travelers will pay as well.

  • Optional Activities: Are able to be selected by Travelers for an additional fee on the trip. Hosts can choose to participate in these activities for no extra fee.

  • Exclusions: Additional features or products not included in the trip or by Trova. Typically, these are exclusions for both Hosts and Travelers.

  • Map and Itinerary: A daily breakdown of hotels, activities, transportation, and more. This is a general itinerary, subject to change in some details. A detailed and finalized version of the itinerary will be released prior to the trip start date.

  • Reviews: Reviews from prior Hosts and Travelers about their experience with this itinerary.

Once you are satisfied with the details of a specific itinerary, simply click the Reserve Trip button at the top right of the page to begin the next step of the process! Check out this article for a detailed walk through of how to reserve an itinerary.
