How to Reserve an Itinerary

Your step-by-step guide on how to reserve an itinerary in the portal!

Ready to reserve an itinerary and plan a trip for your community? Browse through our Itinerary Library and chose one that best fits you and your community. You’ll notice that in addition to the range of destinations, Trova also offer a variety of “themes” with itineraries that cater to different communities and interests such as food, wellness, relaxation, and more.

After selecting your favorite Itinerary, you’ll be prompted to choose dates. We recommend picking something at least 8 months out for international travel and 6 months for domestic, to give folks plenty of time to organize their calendars and book flights. Click the button at the bottom to reserve and it’s yours! From here, you’ll be guided through trip finalization as you set the price, enter dietary restrictions, and choose your (free!) +1.

Keep in mind that you’ll have 14 days to schedule an official launch date from the time you reserve your trip. And once you launch, you’ll have another 14 days to get your first 2 bookings. If these two criteria are not met, your itinerary and trip dates will return to the general Library and become available for other Hosts to request.

Steps to Reserving an Itinerary

1. Log into your portal at my.trovatrip.com

2. Scroll through the Itinerary Library

3. Select your itinerary

Click the thumbnail for an itinerary you would like to use to review the detailed breakdown of the trip.

You’ll see a "Suggested Sell Price" (or price range) above the "Reserve Trip" button. This number is backed by historical TrovaTrip data and your unique audience insights, ensuring you know what it is mostly likely to successfully sell to your Travelers.

Once you have chosen your itinerary, hit the red “Reserve Trip” button.

4. Select your Trip Package

Economy, Standard, or Premium packages give you a chance to upgrade things like hotel ratings or meal packages.

5. Choose your Trip Dates

Select your dates from the available days listed in the "Standard Dates And Prices" section.


We recommend planning 8+ months in advance for international and 6+ months for domestic trips.

6. Input dietary requirements

Available options will be listed in the drop-down menu.
This will ensure that the Trip Operator can make this option available for every meal (but does not automatically assign the dietary requirement to every Traveler or to the trip as a whole).

7. Add a companion (optional)

This is where you can add a +1 to your trip. Trova recommends that you only add 1 companion to your trip as every companion added increases the trip cost for your Travelers.

You’ll see the suggested sell price adjust to cover the cost. If you do not know who will be traveling with you at the time of your trip request, you can simply put in “John” or “Jane Doe” and mark the age 18+. You will be able to update your companion until 90 days before the trip start date.

8. Select your Accommodation details

Choose your room configuration, any pre or post-trip accommodations (we recommend arriving a day earlier than your Travelers).

You can select how many rooms you require for you and your +1, and if you will need 1 bed, 2 beds, or if you will be sharing a bed. If this is your first trip with your +1, we recommend sharing a room in order to keep the cost down for your Travelers.
If you will be sharing a bed with your +1 please make sure to select the “Shared Bed” option and NOT “One Bed.

9. Review & reserve!

Give your form a once over and hit that "Reserve Trip" button! 🎉

If you reserved an Instant Approval itinerary with set dates you can immediately head over to the My Trips page in the Portal to add your margin, sign the Host Terms & Conditions, and set your launch date!

If you requested a trip with specific dates or other customizations you can expect to hear back within 3-4 business days, as the request must be reviewed, priced, and approved by our Operating partners.

Remember, you’ll have 14 days to schedule an official launch date from the time you reserve your trip.

And once you launch, you’ll have another 14 days to get your first 2 bookings. If these two criteria are not met, your itinerary and trip dates will return to the general Library and become available for other Hosts to reserve.
