As a TrovaTrip Host, you'll be immersed in the same experience as your travelers, ensuring a genuine connection throughout the journey. While accommodations usually align with those of your travelers, exceptions can be arranged on a case-by-case basis, although availability isn't guaranteed, and any additional charges will be included in the group trip cost.

Accommodations

Hotel selections vary by itinerary and are categorized by star level for your consideration during the planning stage. Travelers will see the designated star-level once the trip is launched, although it's important to note that star ratings can differ widely by region. For example, European rooms typically feature twin beds and compact layouts, while accommodations in Bali may offer more spacious rooms with additional amenities. Despite these differences, we strive to establish clear expectations for accommodations and encourage an open-minded approach to cultural immersion.

Expect a room to yourself, but if you bring a plus-one, you can request shared accommodations with either a double bed or twin beds.

Transportation

Transportation between destinations or activities on the trip is always included. However, transfers to and from the airport are offered through our partner Transferz. This gives flexibility for flight times and individual/group needs. These can be added to your booking, but are not part of the trip cost. Check out this article for more info!

Flexibility in Activities

While participating in all listed activities fosters group cohesion, Hosts are free to opt out of any activity, provided they inform the Local Guide beforehand. Additionally, during the trip request stage, Hosts can choose to exclude themselves from optional activities, offering personal time while still ensuring travelers have a full itinerary of fun.

Insurance Coverage

Rest assured that as a Host, you're covered by our comprehensive insurance policy, protecting against liability up to $7.5M. However, Hosts should purchase travel insurance for additional coverage, including medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost luggage.

Inclusions and Exclusions

As for what's included and excluded in TrovaTrips, expect hotel accommodations, a local guide, and select meals and activities as standard inclusions. Exclusions typically encompass flights, transfers outside arranged times, guide tips, and personal expenses like food and drink. Specific inclusions or exclusions may vary by trip or destination, so be sure to review the trip page for details tailored to each adventure.

Requirements

What is offered vs. what is required on a trip is entirely dependent on the itinerary you choose. Additional documentation, including visas, may be required for some destinations, like China or Brazil. Passports are always required for international trips. You may need to bring your own pillow on specific camping trips. Review the trip pages, and the Trip Prep articles for your destination, or reach out to Host Support if you have questions!
