Emergencies During the Trip
Updated over a week ago

At Trova, we maintain a Safety-First policy regarding our trips and community. This spans the entire process from before traveling till after a trip ends. During the trip, should an emergency occur, we have teams ready to assist both on the ground and at our HQ. For Hosts, we have a few best practices to keep in mind in case of emergencies.

Local Emergency Services

We always recommend having emergency service information for your destination on hand when you travel. This can include the destination's ambulance, fire, or police numbers, as well as local embassy information. If you're using our mobile app, you can access the local emergency service number directly from the Help Center in the app.

Contact Your Guide

Your TrovaTrip Guide isn't just a leader; they're your ally on this journey. Employed by our Local Operator, they're your first point of contact for any issues during your trip. Whether it's a change in plans, a minor hiccup, or a question about the local scene, your guide is your go-to resource. Open communication sets the stage for finding swift and effective solutions. Well-versed in the local area, your guide is your on-the-ground expert. Need a recommendation for a nearby service or facing a challenge that requires local knowledge? Your guide can point you in the right direction and ensure you make the most of your experience.

Collaborate with TrovaTrip Support

Some issues may require additional intervention beyond on-site capabilities. If this occurs, your guide will collaborate with our local team - our Operator - to ensure a speedy resolution. If more support is needed, our Operator will reach out and collaborate with TrovaTrip's Support or Coordination teams to address more complex challenges. This ensures that every effort is made to find a resolution that aligns with your expectations.

Stay Patient and Flexible

Sometimes, the unexpected happens, but patience and flexibility go a long way. Work collaboratively with your guide, share any necessary information, and stay open to their guidance. Together, you can navigate through challenges and continue enjoying your TrovaTrip adventure.
