Host Levels
Updated over 2 weeks ago

Host Levels are designed to set you (the Host) up for success when it comes to choosing the trip for your community.

All itineraries are created with care, intention, and consideration, but not every itinerary is created equal β€” some may be hard to sell due to price (an exclusive resort on a Grecian island, for example), others may involve specialized activities that require a level of training and preparation for all Travelers to safely enjoy (turns out Kilimanjaro isn't a casual walk in the park). We took the data from over 1,500 successfully booked TrovaTrips and divided our offering into 3 Host Levels: New Host, Rising Host, and Star Host.

These Host Levels unlock access to more than just trip itineraries, they also unlock access to different layers of complexity. For example:

  • New Hosts only have access to launch 1 trip at a time β€” this is because we want you to experience what it's like to reserve, sell, and Host a group trip before committing to multiple. Get a feel for your "selling" style and how to best promote your trips, as well as how to best take care of yourself while managing this new side of your business (maybe you're an introvert who wants to pace their group trips out for plenty of reset time in between, or maybe you thrive on bringing the vibe internationally and are ready to run 5 trips a year!). Rising and Star Hosts who have been through the process can have more trips reserved simultaneously.

  • Rising Hosts and Star Hosts unlock access to request special dates or add-on workshops for their trip. Dates that aren't pre-set can be more expensive or take longer to approve. Likewise, workshops can add a layer of complexity and logistical partnership with Trova and our Trip Operators, so we try to save those items for your second trip (and beyond).

  • Star Hosts are the only level that gain access to customized itineraries and our Community Trips - these are very special TrovaTrips in which the Host is not required to attend the trip. This allows Hosts with high demand for trips (but who may be maxed out on the ability to travel in a year) to bring their community together around the world more often than they can travel.

Host levels are determined by audience data and past experience running trips, so whether you're a Creator who is just starting to think about taking your online community offline, or you're a yoga instructor who has plenty of retreat experience, we've got you covered.
