Companions are an integral perk for Hosting a Trova trip! Whether you decide to bring a friend, partner, parent, or otherwise, they will be included in your booking. Some Hosts use the plus-one perk to bring on photographers or videographers to generate content on a trip. While others bring business partners or other fan-favorites in their community. How you use the companion feature is up to you!
About Companions
Plus-ones are welcome on your trip at no extra cost, but their inclusion may impact traveler expenses or your final payout.
TrovaTrip recommends adding only one companion to maintain affordability.
Host companions are part of the Host's booking and can join optional activities at no additional fee. Free of Charge (FOC) companions have their expenses covered within the trip costs paid by travelers and are not responsible for trip details.
While our itineraries are primarily designed for adults over 18, bringing children can disrupt the dynamic and is generally discouraged. Exceptions may be considered based on the itinerary; please consult with your Account Executive beforehand.
Bringing individuals not part of the trip poses liability and safety concerns. All participants must agree to terms and waivers, with associated costs for participation in trip activities.
Adding Companions
You can request a companion as part of the trip request process, by clicking the Add Companion button.
Companions can only be added during the trip request process. Once the trip is requested, they cannot be added.
Log in to your Portal and view My Trips. Select the trip in question and navigate to the Bookings tab. Scroll down to the section: Companion and fill out the following information:
First and Last Name
Email Address
Date of Birth.
Should you need to change or remove your Companion, reach out to your Trip Coordinator. These are by request only, if the Operator and their suppliers allow a name change then we can look into it. However, no further adjustments, such as room allocation, can be accommodated. Changes cannot be made within a certain time before the trip starts, typically around 45-30 days.
