Booking with Affirm
Updated over 6 months ago

We are happy to partner with Affirm to offer payment flexibility and affordability for travel. Many of our Travelers choose this option when booking a TrovaTrip, as it allows them to make scheduled payments to lessen the burden of a lump sum payment. Affirm makes it hassle-free to book with TrovaTrip.

Please note that Affirm payments are subject to their approval, and are at their discretion. If you are declined the option by Affirm, TrovaTrip cannot make exceptions to their policy. Affirm will send you an email directly with details on your decline. This option is only available during booking checkout. It cannot be added to an existing order.

Qualifying for Affirm

When you get to the payment section of the booking process, it will show an option to prequalify for your booking through Affirm. They will do a soft credit check that will not impact your credit score to see if you qualify for a loan for the booking. No trip or payment request through Affirm is the same, and many factors determine if you qualify. Affirm isn't always able to offer credit for the full amount you request. In these cases, Affirm asks you to make a down payment with a debit card for the remainder of your purchase.

Bookings with insurance added do not qualify for Affirm at this time. You may qualify for Affirm, but it will not display as a payment option at checkout if insurance is selected on the order.

Paying with Affirm

Once you are qualified, you can set up payments with Affirm, directly. The cadence is typically monthly but can change depending on your options. You can choose between 6, 12, or 18-month terms for your Affirm loan.

Refunding an Affirm Payment

Should you cancel your booking and qualify for a refund, TrovaTrip will process the refund directly with Affirm. In the event that we issue you a trip credit instead of a refund, you are still responsible for paying off your Affirm loan. Please see helpcenter.affirm.com for more details.
