Flights and Transfers for Hosts
Updated over 2 months ago

Trova does not manage flights, and all passengers are required to book and manage their own flights for the trip. Historically, we have included transfers to/from the airport via our Operator. However, we have partnered with Transferz to make this more accessible, flexible, and efficient for our passengers.

Flights

Both Hosts and Travelers are required to book flights on their own and enter their flight information into their booking. For Travelers, this is done via the Trip Form on their Portal. For Hosts, you can enter this information under the Travel Info tab on your Trip page in your Host Portal. You can see our article on flight best practices for more information.

Hosts will often use their Earnings Advancement to purchase flights for their trip. We also always recommend both Hosts and Travelers to purchase insurance that covers flights, in the case that they need to cancel. As we do not manage flights, Trova cannot be responsible for compensating lost flight payments.

Transfers

We have partnered with Transferz, to provide a better airport transfer experience to both our Hosts and Travelers on-trip. This is an optional service for Travelers, but one we greatly recommend!

In order to book your ground transfer, you will navigate to the Travel Info tab of your Portal. Select your trip, navigate to the Travel Info tab and select the Book Your Transfer there!

Hosts will automatically get the option to book a transfer calculated into the trip price. You will not need to pay extra out-of-pocket for your ground transfer.

Transferz will have a driver at the airport with a sign waiting for you, they will track your flights to manage any delays or changes, and they provide flexibility in your booking. For more information, check out our article on booking airport transfers. Please note that new or canceled transfers must be made at least 24 hours before the ride date. Canceling a transfer will not refund you as the Host, as it is included in the trip price.

Please note that the number of passengers for Host transfers cannot exceed the number of companions + the Host. A trip with 1 companion will accommodate a transfer for 2 passengers, including the Host.

If your companion is arriving at the same time as you, they can be included in your booked transfer. Otherwise, they will need to arrange their own transportation. The Host will always be the primary booker for the transfer.
