A Trova trip is a curated and managed experience in a magnificent destination. We are a platform for our Travelers, Hosts, and local Operators to meet and journey together. However, what is included and excluded on a trip with us? We will review what you can expect to be included on a Trova trip.
Exclusions
We will start with what isn't included on a Trova trip, as the list is much shorter! There are a few key things that our Travelers are expected to manage on their own:
Flights: We do not manage flights as part of our trip packages. Check out our article on Flight Best Practices for more info!
Additional Food and Drink: Your trip will list which meals are included in your itinerary. Anything extra will be at your own discretion and expense.
Extraneous Activities: Your trip will always include a set list of activities, experiences, and/or workshops. Some trips will even have additional optional activities to add to your booking for an additional price. However, if you wish to participate in other activities outside of Trova, you will be responsible for the cost.
Please note that if your flight times prevent you from making the set transfer times, you will also be responsible for arranging transport to/from the airport.
Inclusions
Trova trips can include a lot. This can include travel, meals, activities, hotels, and more. These will always be displayed on the trip overview, as well as the trip itinerary. Included on a trip with us are:
Transportation: All travel between locations, activities, and hotels is covered in the cost and run by our Operators! This excludes extra transport to and from the airport!
Accommodation: All Trova trips offer hotels rated at 3 stars or higher if a hotel is included in your trip. Outdoor and camping trips will include tents and other provisions to make your trip comfortable!
Meals: Each trip will have an included meal set, usually during standard meal times. Be sure to include your dietary restrictions in your Trip Form, so we can accommodate those!
Activities: A Trova trip is built around the activities and experiences in the destination! From museum tours to waterfall hikes, we offer a huge library of different activities built for each trip. The included activities will be listed on your itinerary. If your trip offers additional activities, you can purchase those any time 50 days until your trip starts from your Portal Account.
Local Guide: We partner with our local Operators for each and every trip, to offer a safe and accommodating adventure for our Hosts and Travelers. The Operator will provide a local Guide that will be a part of your travel party and the expert on the trip.
