Starting on a TrovaTrip adventure involves adhering to specific deadlines and due dates. These are based on the time until your trip starts. Here's a breakdown to help you navigate these crucial timelines and make the most of your travel experience:
More than 90 days Before the Trip Starts
Book Your Trip: Secure your spot by booking your preferred trip before the specified deadline. TrovaTrip offers diverse journeys, and timely booking ensures availability.
Make Payments for Your Booking: You can begin to make payments on your booking as soon as your booking is Pending. You have until 90 days before the trip starts to pay for the total of your order to be able to travel. Check out our article on Payment Deadlines for more information!
Travel Insurance: While not always required, we recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip. You can learn more information about recommended packages on our Traveler Insurance page.
50 Days Before the Trip Starts
Trip Closes: Bookings are no longer allowed on the trip, details begin to be finalized for accommodation and transportation needs. Traveler information is sent to our Operators to begin the process of booking hotels, managing itinerary items, and more.
Submit Your Trip Form: Your trip form is all the essential information attached to your Traveler profile. Flight information, roommate preferences, etc. are all in the Trip Form. Be sure to submit this accurately and timely to ensure your preferences and information are accounted for! Check out our Trip Form article for more info.
~ 49 Days Before the Trip Starts
Join the Group Chat: You will be invited to the TrovaTrip app to join a group chat with the rest of the Travelers and Host. A few days before the trip starts, the Guide will be added to the chat to answer questions and get to know the group.
45 Days Before the Trip Starts
Detailed Itinerary is Released: The itinerary displayed on the Trip page is a basic overview of the trip details, but will not include the specific and confirmed information that the Detailed Itinerary will. You can see more information in our Itinerary article!
30 Days Before the Trip Starts
Arrival Preparation: Our Coordinating team will provide an arrival prep document that goes over key pieces of your trip to get you ready! These include roommate assignments, transfer times, and more.
